Chief of Staff

Derek Wong is the Chief of Staff at Play With Heart Foundation. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a BBA in Finance. Derek was also a 4-year member of the Carnegie Mellon Men’s tennis team. He is currently located in New York City, working as an investment banking analyst. In his free time, Derek enjoys playing beach volleyball, pickleball, and trying new restaurants.

Derek was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, bicuspid aortic valve, early-on in his life. Through early detection, he has been able to safely play his sport at a high level. He is passionate about spreading heart health awareness for young athletes to ensure every child has an opportunity to play the sport they love.
